Exciting news! Bill C-284 has just been voted in the House of Commons in 3rd reading with 324 votes in favor and 0 votes against and now the Bill will be referred to the Senate!. Thank you to the Hon. Judy Sgro and yes, the entire vision health team for your invaluable help and support. The long wait is now almost over. Congratulations to all as we arrive at this incredible milestone for Canada, for the blind, deaf blind, partially sighted and all Canadians!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations and thank you to the Hon. Judy Sgro, who do to her tireless work in support of vision health, was able to share the news that bill C-284 establishing a national eye care strategy has been debated today in 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0reading and will be voted on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, and with its passing will go straight to the Senate. The dynamo MP from Humber River-Black Creek has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to getting her private members bill passed. The vision health community owes her a huge debt of gratitude. Again, thank you Judy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
