Envision a brighter future for all Canadians.
The Canadian Council of the Blind was founded in 1944 by blind Canadian war veterans and schools of the blind. The national office is located in Ottawa with over 80 chapters across Canada. The Council is the largest membership-based organization for the blind in Canada and is known as the Voice of the Blind™.
The 1944 Legacy society has been established as a testament to our donors’ collective commitment to making a difference since the Council’s earliest days.
The Society is a group of special supporters who have a vision for the future and a desire to leave a lasting legacy by including the Canadian Council of the Blind in their will. Members are honoured on our 1944 Legacy Society digital donor wall and receive an exclusive pin.
Becoming a member of the 1944 Legacy Society is easy. Complete the membership form and return it to the Canadian Council of the Blind by email or post. Upon receipt, a representative from the Council will reach out to welcome you to the Society.
